Characterization System
The AXIe compatible 5-Slot system is
a modular design containing 5
independent slots that accept ATCA
and AXIe cards. It is based on a
Schroff ATCA chassis with integrated
power and shelf management
functions, and includes an AXIe 3.1
Zone-3 backplane and Test Evolution’s
Rear Transition Modules to deliver
instrument signals to the Device Under
Test (DUT).

Direct Dock Test System
Adding the stiffener and load board
allows the Test Evolution 5-Slot
test system to be used in a more
typical production test
environment. This is an ideal
system for low-cost and lowvolume
production.

Mounting Plate
The additional mounting plate provides
the following benefits:
• SMA-type connectors to bring high
quality signals to the DUT.
• Access slots to bring external
signals, for example from PXI based
instruments, into the
common DUT connections.
• Mounting connections and
alignment pins for an external load
board.
This assembly provides a cable-less
fixturing to the DUT, minimizing the
tangle of wires in a typical
characterization setup.
